Position responsibilities include:
To manage and coordinate processing functions, by managing superintendent and supervisory activities. The production manager will monitor and ensure that production of product meets and exceeds company and customer quality standards and is responsible for developing, guiding, and supervising the department's management staff. The Manager's goal is to increase yield, improve quality and safety, and operate within budget.
Other Responsibilities:
- Manages all aspects of dark meat production to include the following departments: Whole Leg Debone, Thigh Debone, Rehang, Cut-Up, MSC, and the Cooler.
- Coordinates with Management to ensure orders are filled on a timely basis and meet all quality standards.
- Promotes and maintains plant safety as a top priority.
- Promotes quality and productivity.
- Analyzes quality problems, develops solutions and maintain system to measure/improve quality.
- Ensures products meet customer specifications.
- Performance Management.
- Ensures compliance with USDA regulations, and Company policies and procedures.
- Develops, leads and coaches’ superintendents, supervisors and production employees.
- Accomplish goals and objectives set by the Company, to include achieving yield goals.
Qualifications:
- Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; related work experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
