Primary Purpose:


Provide support to the Maintenance and Engineering Department in the form of work order creation, scheduling, and tracking PMs. Interact and communicate with vendors, contractors, upper mgmt. and maintenance/engineering team to complete assigned tasks and projects whether relayed orally, electronically or written.


Position responsibilities include:

  • Assist departmental personnel in acquiring parts/components/services through external and internal resources
  • Critique costing reports associated with budgeting and actual expenditures
  • Capture data, compile reports and distribute for performance improvement
  • Develop bill of materials for scheduled equipment rebuilds
  • Order and kit parts for scheduled rebuilds
  • Data entry with Oracle Purchasing and Maintenance modules
  • Maintain the plant’s PM system regarding backlog, open, and closing of work orders
  • Must be able to Interpret AutoCAD sketches/drawings
  • Ability to perform other duties as assigned
  • Availability to work weekends and or holidays when required  
  • Prepare work packages for every planned maintenance activity’s inclusive of repetitive maintenance.
  • Order, receive and supervise required material to assist maintenance activities.
  • Plan and arrange activities related with equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility and competence supporting site production supplies.
  • Coordinate daily as well as weekly planning meetings related with maintenance.
  • Ensure to execute techniques to improve overall plant efficiency.
  • Coordinate to rebuild spare equipment through external suppliers.
  • Collect drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications.
  • Submit engineering drawings for any further required revisions or upgrades.
  • Coordinate plant shutdowns to attain all essential schedules.
  • Execute modification in maintenance records and key equipment with significant spares during setting reorder levels along with quantities.
  • Support department’s compliance to any Lean Manufacturing goals and objectives.
  • Aid engineering for spare parts preparation and PM Lists for new equipment.
  • Provide technical assistance for supporting entire on-site maintenance activities.




  • Confident computer skills to include Excel, Outlook, Microsoft, Oracle
  • Combination of experience related to Summary Description
  • College credits equal to an associate degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as an industrial planner, scheduler, estimator, etc.
  • Ability to lift 25 plus pounds
  • Ability to stand on concrete surfaces up to four continuous hours during a minimum of eight-hour shift
  • Flexibility with repetitive hand movements
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions and to learn the methods and practices used in poultry processing.
  • Must comply with all Safety, Quality Assurance and USDA regulations
  • Be able to maneuver throughout the production facility
  • Be capable of handling multiple tasks with little supervision
  • Damp environment with temperatures ranging from 40 to 100 degrees
  • Exposure to loud machinery and processes
