Position responsibilities include:

  • Lead, direct, mentor and train team FSQA and HACCP technicians
  • Conduct and direct all FSQA activities on a production shift
  • Review all necessary paperwork for accuracy
  • Conduct SSOP verification
  • Review HACCP/SSOP corrective and preventative actions for effectiveness and meeting regulatory requirements
  • Aid in answering Noncompliance records (NR’s)
  • All other duties as assigned by FSQA Supervisor
  • Complete all assigned paper work correctly
  • Follow paper work rules of practice and make appropriate corrections if needed
  • Maintain document control procedures
  • Perform FSQA Technician duties as necessary
  • Adhere to Mountaire work safety rules at all times



  • A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
  • Knowledge in the feed manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Must have the ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
  • Ability to interact effectively with company management and regulatory officials
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to direct, train, mentor and lead team members
  • Able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending and occasional squatting
  • Regular use of stairs, steps and ladders
  • Strong computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel and Word) skills
  • Basic knowledge of HACCP program
  • Basic knowledge of QA program
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Display strong problem solving, organizational and analytical skills
